Raj Prabhakar
Raj Prabhakar has worked in the biomedical sector since graduating from Harvard Business School with an MBA in 2001. Prabhakar began working with Osiris Therapeutics, a medical company focused on regenerative stem cell drugs. He assisted the CEO and the management team in the advancement of the company's clinical development stage. This experience helped him land a position with Protiveris, a diagnostic and device company specializing in nanotechnology. Raj Prabhakar served as Director of Corporate Development with Protiveris from 2002-2003, focusing on Research & Development collaborations and sales.
In 2004, Raj Prabhakar became the Director of Program Management at Celsion Corporation, a biomedical company concentrating on oncology and biotechnology. During that time, Prabhakar directed the program from its preliminary stage through the commencement of global clinical trials. Prabhakar's success garnered him a promotion in 2007, when he became Senior Director of Strategic Planning & Business Development. Shortly thereafter, Raj Prabhakar again received a promotion to his current position of the department's Executive Director. Prabhakar leads out-licensing and development activities for Celsion, focusing particularly on business partnerships in the US and Asia.
Raj Prabhakar earned two Bachelor's degrees from MIT in 1995 and continues to serve as a Board Member of the MIT Alumni Club of Washington, D.C.
